Final Task; SNATCHED

Hey everyone, we are finally finished with our film. There was some struggle in the process of editing this video as our school computers restrict a ton of stuff. Anyways we hope that you will like it and please don't judge us if you see any errors as the only tool we use to film was our phones. Have a great day!

Genre Research: Ava

Image
The movie Ava delves into many genres. Thriller, Crime, Action, Mystery, and Drama are all of them to be exact. However, we are mainly focusing on the thriller scope of this movie as it relates to the genre we are using for our opening scene. The movie Ava is about a woman who was an alcoholic and is recovering from being an addict. After a fight with her mom, she joins the military to be a soldier. She then becomes an assassin after being discharged due to questioning authority, etc. As if history has repeated itself, once again she begins to question authority and the way things are done in her assassin organization and starts to break protocols. This leads to a hit being put on her by the leader of her organization and she is wanted dead. Viewers then are watching her survive in the fight against her organization as she is fleeing and fighting. An element that I choose to base my opening scene that this movie has is suspense. During the movie, at first, no one knows why she is...

Title Research: Watch the Titles Website

Image
http://www.watchthetitles.com/ The purpose of us exploring the site is to learn a little more about title sequences.  After looking into these two sites, we notice how through our research it would benefit when we create our titles and design them for our opening sequence. Once you're on the site, there is a title sequence tab. Once you click on it, it organizes title sequences into categories: feature film, tv shows, event titles, student projects, video games, french fridays. Compared to the other site you are able to see the sequences be organized so you can tell the difference based on what type the film is. It was interesting to see that there are student projects and videos. The site also shows films that are popular, less popular and from all around the world. This site is not so different from the “Art of Titles” website. Both the sites show title sequences, designers, and studios. The “Art of the Titles” includes articles that are written by editors from the site whe...

Filming Blog for Music Video

Image
Hi everyone, and welcome back to the update on my partnered music video with Melissa. We were originally going to film two days during Thanksgiving week. However, because of some mishaps, we were not able to. The main one was that my mother decided to change her decision by allowing me to go to Melissa's house to film. Before we had created our planning blog, I had asked my mom whether Melissa was to come to my house to film or if I should go to hers. My mom told me to go to Melissa's house since she(my mom) has underline issues with her heart and didn't want to increase her risk of getting corona. Later on, she asked me if I would like to spend Thanksgiving and some weeks at my cousin's house. I told her yes intending to still go to Melissa's house to film during the week. On Monday I asked her again just in case if I go to Melissa's house to film but then she decided to change her mind and said no and that Melissa should come over to my house. This set in sto...
