Production Blog: Further discussing our opening scene details

For our project, I wanted to speak to Melissa further on what exactly we will be doing in our opening scene. I wanted to go over the costumes we would be wearing, props we would use, and other additional details. I also wanted to discuss with her the exact amount of characters we will have. As well as whether we will be including our siblings in the opening scene. In our storyboard, we had pretty much laid out most of the actions that we will be carrying out in the opening scene. However, we know that some of the actions may be changed during the filming. We also haven't begun to film as of yet. This is due to our parents' work schedule as well as religious events on the weekends. We also have a huge school workload that we are dealing with. As well as taking care of our siblings due to being the oldest in the house. However, we do hope to be able to meet up sometime this week or on the weekend. As we need to start filming now so we can get most of it out of the way. This will help us a lot because testing begins next month and we don't want to be too stressed about classes and studying for our tests. I for one find it hard to keep a balance between studying and meeting up so we must meet up when possible. I also will probably be starting a new job soon. This will keep most of my evenings busy so we are pushing for being able to film on the weekends. For the costume of the kidnapper, we know that they will be wearing all black. I might be the one acting as the kidnapper and I might buy a ski mask to bring the part to life. As for our props, it will be the knifes the kidnapper puts into the bag and the backpack the girl is wearing home. Both of our parents already agreed to us going over to each other houses for filming so when it comes to that aspect there should be no problem.
