Filming Blog Update on Music Video!

 Hello Everyone and welcome back to another update on my partnered music video. As I mentioned in my last blog there was an unexpected change of plans. I was supposed to be filming at Melissa's house but my mom changed her mind and said that I could no longer go over to her house. Anyway, we agreed and she said that Melissa should come to me. Which in this case is at my cousin's house, where I am currently staying. We were originally supposed to meet up over the Thanksgiving break but did not get the chance to. Nevertheless, we met up on Tuesday and started to film the first part of our music video. Since it was just me and Melissa and no one else to help the film. I asked my cousin who is an adult but very youthful and can be easily taught how to film the angles and shot we need to be taken. My cousin was a little bit lazy and didn't want to move around too much so I had to aid her a little in taking the shots we took. First, I showed her how we needed the shot to be filmed and did an example to show her, for a better understanding. In the first scene which was the establishing shot, I helped her by filming the first part of the establishing shot myself. There's this feature on Melissa's phone that allows you to pause the video while filming and continue it once again. So what I did was filmed the first part, paused the video then gave it to her to finish the rest of the scene. In the next scene that we would have taken, it could not be done at my cousin's house since that the only available bed is her husband's son's bed which is a bunk bed. So Melissa will be taking that scene and the next scene at her house. She will tell her sister what to do and let her sister film. We did, however, film the scene after the one Melissa will be filming, in where I meet up with her as she closes her bedroom door. I showed my cousin how to do a tracking shot and then made her do it. We did this shot a couple of times well and then got one that looked good enough. We might retake all the shots we did when we meet up again at the weekend.
