Editing Blog for Music Video

Goodnight Everyone, hope you had a fantabulous weekend. I am back with an update on my partnered music video. As you all know in my last blog I gave you updates on the filming part of the music video and how it was going. We finally finished filming this week and have started to edit our video. In most of the shots, we took they had to be cropped. This was due to us adjusting the video and giving examples to our crewmates on how it is to be done. When taking the shots, it was kind of hard to act lazy. We had to retake the shots sometimes because we would laugh or smile when we did not intend to. To be honest it is kind of hard to be lazy on cue. Normally it is just something that comes naturally when you are tired or do not feel like doing anything. Anyway, back to the editing aspect of this music video. We had to download the lazy song by Bruno Mars to insert in the music video. I used mp3 juices to download the song in which I had the option to download it as mp4. As for the editing app that we are using, it is called Clipchamp. I used this same editing app in my last video project where I had to create a commercial. Furthermore, we had dumped all the videos we took into the Clipchamp. This was to see which shot of each scene best matched with the flow of the music video. We still have some of the shots left to edit and we might retake some shots after we finish with our first editing draft. The most important thing I would say not to judge is our acting. We know we tried but most importantly we hope that our angles, lighting, and shots came outright and that the whole music video will look great. Especially since we have to do it at home with our phones and no professional equipment.
