Great Value Water Bottle Commercial

In doing this project I have learned a variety of new things. The first thing I learned was a way to do transitions. From watching many other commercials and clips as examples, I realized the way they did their transitions that made it more smooth and easy. In almost all of the videos, I watch they used a median to transition to the next scene. For example, making the camera pass a rock, or go into the water, or pass a cloud. In this way, they were able to transition to the next scene, in which you saw the camera coming out of the water, or finally passing the rock or cloud, and then it is like BOOM a whole new setting. This makes it look cool and pleasing and changes it up than from just using a direct jump cut. I also found out ways to crop a video without having to leave out the beginning or end. Meaning that I found a way in which I could crop out the part during the clip that I wanted to be removed without having to go from that clip and everything after or before. This was extremely helpful because before, sometimes my clip would be so good but then there was that one part in the middle that there was a mistake then I either had to delete the whole clip or delete from the mistake to the end or beginning of the clip. Most times I would also have to retake that clip which reduced the amount of time I had left to edit the whole video. Another important thing to me that I learned was how to take the audio off the clips I entered. The Clipclamp app I used made it easy and quick. This was essential because now my background music could play with ease and without hearing me telling my younger brother what to do. There were also some things in the commercial I made that I wish was different though. Firstly, I wanted to be the one who was the actor and doing all the scenes. From doing scenes in the grass, to dancing on the circular path, then running up the stairs or playing soccer with my younger godbrother, brother, and cousin. This is because since it would be my commercial I would have loved to be the star plus I honestly do not fancy the idea of my brother being on YouTube as of yet since he is still young. However, he did good and probably a better job than I would have so I think he was meant to be the actor of my commercial lol. I had also wanted for the end of the video where he is drinking to be a series of different jump cuts that would show him drinking the water the same way but you can see that it is a different setting every millisecond. Sadly the app I was using to edit my commercial did not allow me to crop my video to be that short, but I think the way I showed him drinking the water after the three different activities still look good.
