Editing my Great Value water bottle commercial
Today I dumped all the videos I had taken on my phone on to the computer and I started to film. The first thing I did when I started to edit my video was to find the background music that I liked the best. I searched several websites and found a sound named Flying Rock and I downloaded it. Then I went onto the editor app that I downloaded which for this was the Clipchamp Create app. I attached the downloaded music audio to the app and added it to the timeline. The audio being first helped me to crop it down to thirty seconds which helped me in the process of putting and editing the videos together without going overtime. I then started to add the clips in the timeline in the correct order and cropped any scene that was too long or needed to be removed. In the first scene that I had filmed, there was no editing needed to be done to that clip so after I added it onto the timeline, I just took the audio off. In the next scene, where my younger brother was running, the scene also did not need to be edited much, so I had put it alongside the first scene and took off the audio. In the third scene, however, I had to cut off the end and add the end of another clip to make the transition from the karate to the bicycle scene better. It took me quite a while to cut and crop that part out seeing as it was kind of fast-paced and I didn't want it to be noticeable. I got the scene crop and added together with the way I wanted it like twenty to thirty minutes after. In the fourth scene in which he was riding the bicycle, I had no trouble with this part as well and I took the audio of like all the other scenes and moves to the next. In the next couple of scenes, they just jumped cuts that didn't have a transition. I did my best for these scene to kind of flow with the beat so that the jump cuts while very noticeable, is not paid much attention to. Lastly, I ended the scene with my younger brother putting the bottle down on the ground. For this shot, I had to put my phone on the ground and leaning on his bicycle. This was because all the other scenes I was doing were handheld shots in which all the scenes were filmed from me holding the phone in my hand. So because I did not want this scene to be shaky I rest my phone on the floor to be still so it can capture this scene better. I also added the phrase "Great Value Purified Drinking Water from Walmart where Shopping is a Pleasure," at the end of the video towards the right centered side of the water bottle.
